Projects
Creating and managing funding projects
What is a Project?
A project represents something your organization wants funding for. It could be a new program, equipment purchase, capacity building initiative, or any other fundable activity.
Each project can pursue multiple grants simultaneously. The AI analyzes how well each grant fits your specific project, not just your organization in general.
Creating a Project
You have two options:
Start with AI
Have a conversation with Claude to develop your project. Good if you're still figuring out the details or want help articulating your goals.
Claude will ask questions and suggest content, then create the project when you're ready.
Manual Entry
Fill out the project form directly. Best if you already have a clear idea of what you're seeking funding for.
You can always refine with AI later using the conversation feature.
Project Fields
Name & Description
A clear, descriptive name and detailed description of what the project will accomplish.
Goals
What you're trying to achieve. Be specific and measurable when possible.
Outcomes
Expected results. These become the basis for your evaluation plan in grant applications.
Target Population
Who will benefit from this project. Important for matching with grants that serve specific populations.
Budget
Total budget and breakdown by category (personnel, supplies, etc.). Helps match with appropriately-sized grants.
Timeline
Project duration and key milestones. Funders want to see realistic timeframes.
Focus Areas
Tags that categorize your project. These drive grant matching (e.g., "education", "youth", "technology").
Project Pipeline
From your project page, you can see grants organized by where they are in your application process:
Finding Grants for Your Project
The project page has two sections for grant discovery:
- Recommended Matches: Grants that score well for your project based on AI analysis
- Discovery: Grants you've added to consider, not yet actively pursuing
Click "Analyze Fits" to have Claude evaluate grants against your project and generate fit scores.
